Beloved of The Most High God.....
Thank you for joining PITS during this time of seeking the Lord with fasting and prayer.
The "Daniel Fast" involves eating mostly fruit, vegetables, seeds, grains and drinking water.
Basically no meats or sweets!
In addition to the wonderful spiritual benefits, fasting can have a positive impact on your health.
While fasting try to incorporate some light exercise and plan to get extra sleep.
When eating, prepare simple, wholesome, healthy meals.
Try to avoid (or reduce), soda, coffee, sugar, processed foods and social media or TV.

During the fast, do your best to slow down and connect with God, especially at times when you would have been shopping, preparing meals, eating or otherwise distracted.
Read the Bible, pray and
PLEASE stay hydrated!
Consider keeping a journal to capture what is happening at key moments of this journey.
As you faithfully pursue Him, may God bless, strengthen, heal and anoint you as you fast.
We are praying for you,
Zipporah and The PITS Crew!

Holy as You are Holy
BY ALAINI
Prayer times: 5AM, 12PM and 6PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Leviticus 11:44-45, Hebrews 12:14-15 and 1 Peter 1:13-16
DEVOTIONAL: Jesus, there is none holy like You! 1 Samuel 2:2. Jesus, we thank You for inviting us to be partakers in Your holiness. Jesus has rescued us from the miry clay and by His blood, He has cleansed us of all unrighteousness. Righteousness simply put, means “right-ness with God”. Biblical commandments are a well-lit path to righteousness and life. God’s commandments are guardrails to protect us from ourselves and the snares of the enemy. Prayer, Worship and His word help us become holy and pure. Consider taking some time this weekend to join with the angels around the throne who continually proclaim His Holiness. Revelation 4:8
Prayer Focus 1: Pursuit of Holiness: During our prayer times ask Jesus to ignite our heart to desire His Holiness. Thank Jesus for His gentleness and kindness as we walk with us through purification. Pray for our heart to be softened to receive God’s will. Ask Jesus for an outpouring of grace as we pursue godly desires. Ask for help with self-control and for the strength to pursue Holiness. Pray and ask Jesus to reveal and remove all unrighteousness from our heart.
Focus 2: Holiness within Our Community: During our prayer times let us allow and invite Jesus’s word to convict our hearts of any unrighteousness! Ask for His holy Fire to cleanse and purify all in our PITS community! Ask Jesus to ignite PITS to pursue Holiness as Jesus is Holy. Pray an increase of holiness for the local church, leaders, ministries, and our country. Pray all would desire to be Holy as Jesus is Holy.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
· In what ways is Jesus calling you into Holiness?
· What things are preventing you from pursuing Jesus’ Holiness?
· What sins patterns have you gained victory over?
· During this fast what sin pattens do you want God to break?
· What unholy thing(s) have you done that still cause you pain or shame?
· Can you forgive yourself and lay them at the cross once and for all?

Are we actively pursuing more of His presence in our lives? The degree to which we encounter Him, is entirely up to us. Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 29:18, Joel 2:28, and John 10: 27
DEVOTIONAL: Jesus wants to talk to us more than we desire to hear from Him, and it is our hearts desire to hear our Shepherd speak to us! Jesus has placed unique and distinct visions in each one of us. It is Jesus’s desire to partner with us. When we surrender our will to Jesus, we open the door to become co-authors in the fulfillment of the vision He placed in each one of us. For if we ignore Jesus’s vision for our life, it doesn’t work out so well, let's focus on His voice and His vision.
Prayer Focus 1: Deeper yet Jesus, Deeper yet: During our prayer times ask Jesus to take you deeper yet. Pray for a fresh anointing and vision and focus. Ask Jesus to reveal the areas of your heart that need to be surrendered to Him, in order that His vision for your life may come to fruition. Day 6: January 9
(& THE WEEKEND)
12 Noon (PST)
Topic: Healthy Leaders to Care for God’s Sheep
Prayer Times: 5 AM, 12 Noon, and 6 PM (PST)
Soaking Times: 6 AM and 7 PM
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 3:15; Ezekiel 34:18–19; John 10:7–15
DEVOTIONAL: Jesus called Himself “the Good Shepherd”—a humble title for our glorious King. He came to earth and sacrificially laid down His life for the sheep. He ministered tirelessly to those around Him, even insisting on feeding more than five thousand in a remote place far from any store.
In stark contrast, the shepherds condemned in Ezekiel were selfish, greedy, entitled, disrespectful, abusive, and self-absorbed. They trampled the pasture, muddied the water, and disregarded the sheep entrusted to their care—polluting the very sources meant to sustain life.
Throughout His ministry, Jesus beautifully modeled the heart and priorities of a true leader. Today, we often look to pastors for spiritual leadership and care. Interestingly, the New Testament word for “pastor” (poimen) is most often translated as “shepherd.”
From the beginning, God has shown a special fondness for shepherds—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Saul, David, Rachel, and Zipporah. 😊 He often elevated them to positions of kingship, leadership, or great wealth. The ideal ruler, pastor, or leader has a heart devoted to God and a genuine love for people.
Yet Jeremiah 23:1 warns against shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep. Sadly, even today, some pastors become abusive leaders or fall into scandalous sin, causing deep church hurt and scattering the flock.
God’s criterion for favor and promotion is a humble, servant-hearted leader. However, even godly leaders can stumble without the sustaining prayers of the saints. Our intercession can help raise up and protect true shepherds—those who are yielded to God, emotionally healthy, accountable, and walking in the fear of the Lord.
PRAYER FOCUS – Healthy Leaders Arise
(Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond:
Day 5: January 8
12 Noon (PST)
You Have Been Anointed To Heal
Prayer times: 5 AM, 12PM and 6PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 61:1-2 and Luke 4:18
DEVOTIONAL: Preaching forgiveness to a sin-sick soul is a vital part of the Good News of the Gospel. Yet sinners are not the only ones who are “poor.” Salvation is far more than a miracle ticket to heaven—it brings redemption to every area of life.
Some of the best news a poor person can receive is that something they desperately need or want is available and free. Because of our position in Christ, we have been anointed to proclaim this same good news: liberty from every bondage that enslaves or incapacitates—sickness, disease, poverty, addiction, fear, anxiety, and more.
The Amplified Bible describes the oppressed as those who are downtrodden, bruised, and crushed by tragedy. As we pray in the Spirit today, trust that God is healing broken hearts, restoring bodies, and setting captives free—all for His glory.
PRAYER FOCUS – Healing Brings Liberty:
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond:
In what area of your life are you most in need of His freedom and restoration today?
Day 4: January 7
Abundant Provision
and Yielded Hearts
Prayer times: 5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Phil 4:19, Matt 9:37-38, 3 John 1:2 and Acts 13:2–3
DEVOTIONAL: Today, we examine God's faithfulness as provider. When we experience lack in our own lives, ministry or PITS, it’s an opportunity to grow in trusting God. He can supply finances to expand ministry and provide for participants, especially willing and surrendered intercessors who cry “Here am I, Send Me.” As we fast this month God wants to release or equip those who answer his call and he promised he would give seeds to those who sow. The Bible assures us God is willing to supply every need. Jesus calls us to pray for harvest workers knowing God's provision extends to the resources and the people necessary to fulfil His work.
Prayer Focus 1: Increased Finances: During our prayer times, remember God has all the provision we could possibly need. Ask Jehovah Jireh to supply all needs, even those that seem impossible. Boldly ask God to open doors of provision, raises, unexpected blessings and donations, etc. in 2026.
Prayer Focus 2: More Yielded Godly Intercessors: Pray for more laborers, for the mission field, our churches, and The PITS Prayer Room. Pray participants, ministers and leaders are humble, Spirit-led and intercessors. Ask for a burden for the lost, a watchman anointing, and boldness to share the gospel.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
How has a lack of spiritual hunger hindered your ability to pray, lead or participate in kingdom adventures?
How has a lack of finances limited your freedom to serve or give?
In what ways might God be calling you to step up as a lead intercessor or contributor to His work?
Day 3: January 6
Pursuing Holiness and Hunger
Prayer times: 5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Galatians 5:16-26, 2 Tim. 2:20-26 and 1 Peter 1:13-16
DEVOTIONAL: To be holy as God is holy is impossible without Holy Spirit! This is not about keeping rules or being self-righteous or judgmental, Pharisees do these quite well. Holiness isn't about perfection; it’s about surrender and allowing Holy Spirit to help us choose God’s character and presence above our own desires and lusts. By fasting, Daniel intensified his hunger for God, allowing him to forgo earthly comforts. For us in PITS, this means cultivating a deeper thirst for righteousness amid temptations, addictions or time-consuming distractions even in the form of Godly media content. As we deny ourselves physically, let us lean in for a spiritual revival, where holiness and hunger for more of God’s presence becomes our highest priority.
Prayer Focus 1: Holiness for Leaders and Participants: During our prayer times ask God to search and cleanse hearts. Pray for grace to turn from desires of the flesh. Ask God to set us apart as a people for himself who desire to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit. Pray for our hearts to free from sin, compromise, fear and distractions, making us vessels fit for his divine will.
Prayer Focus 2: Spiritual Hunger in Our Community: During our prayer times let us allow and invite God’s word to search our hearts. Ask the Lord to stir a hunger like the deer panting for water. Try to resist other forms of comfort and distractions so our souls can thirst for Him alone. Ask Holy Spirit to ignite passion for Jesus in PITS leaders and participants. Pray the same for churches, ministries and even the government. Pray all would seek God fervently.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
What might God be asking you to give up so his plans can be fulfilled? (Not just sin or strongholds, but legitimate pleasures or distractions)
Which fruit of the Spirit have you cultivated and which needs the most growth?
Day 2 : January 5
Seeking God's Vision
Prayer times: 5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 29:11-13,Daniel 10:1-19 and Habakkuk 2:1-3
DEVOTIONAL: Daniel fasted and prayed often, this time, God answered quickly, by sending a glorious and frightening angelic messenger. Unaware of opposition in the spirit realm, Daniel's persistence helped the angel prevail and Daniel was blessed with a profound encounter. The angel shared heavens thoughts with Daniel, “O Daniel, you highly regarded and greatly beloved man.” As we seek The Lord in these 3 to 21 days, expect to hear what God is saying about us, so we can align with His eternal purposes for our lives and ministry.
Fasting without prayer is just going hungry. So, lets pray, feed on The Word and engage our Spirit to hear God's voice more clearly. God wants to reveal divine insight for PITS, and our personal paths for 2026. God has a blueprint—specific, bold, and kingdom-advancing. As we let go of our own ideas and invite the Holy Spirit to illuminate His will, rest assured He will give us revelation, to guide us and fuel our prayers so we can move forward in faith and obedience in 2026.
Prayer Focus 1: God's Will for US and PITS: During our prayer times intercede for clarity on God's sovereign will. Ask the Lord to reveal our true identity and His plans for us so we have confidence to follow His leading. Pray He would align our lives and PITS with His eternal purposes, removing all human agendas.
Prayer Focus 2: Vision for 2026: Ask for prophetic direction knowing without a vision we will perish. Ask God to build PITS, so we don’t labor in vain. Pray for strategies and prayer targets to increase impact now and in the year ahead.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
What personal vision has God been stirring in your heart regarding your life and prayer?
Day 1 : January 4
Unity in Christ
Scripture Reading: Psalm 133, Philippians 2 : 1-4, 13-15 Hebrews 10:25-25 and 1 John 1:7
DEVOTIONAL: The word of God encourages us to gather with other believers. This is one reason PITS only has ONE prayer meetings on a Sunday. Let's be a blessing to our local body of believers and enjoy fellowship with the Saints. For Day 1 we are taking it easy, not much to do today, be blessed and enjoy a day of rest.
PLEASE USE SUNDAY'S AS A CATCH UP DAY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU MISSED A WEEK DAY OR ACCIDENTALY ENJOYED A YUMMY MEAL. :-)
