ABBA IS OUR FATHER
DEVOTIONAL BY MARIA OLIVERAS
Years ago, I was at a gathering that welcomed children to simply be children. At one point, a treasure box was opened, filled with all kinds of trinkets the children were invited to choose from. Squeals of laughter filled the room as they ran about, celebrating and showing off their treasures.
My attention was drawn to one little girl in particular. I watched as she came running up the aisle and stopped near me. One of her small hands was squeezed tightly shut. Suddenly she paused and looked down at her hand. With anticipation, she slowly opened her fist. The look on her sweet face said it all — she was filled with awe, wonder, and delight at what she had been holding so tightly.
At the time, I thought about how we should be like that child in our relationship with God, our Father. We should be filled with awe, wonder, and delight in whatever gifts He so generously gives us. His gifts are always good and perfect because He is always Good and Perfect; He does not shift like a shadow.
As His dearly loved children, do we anticipate the goodness of our Abba? Do we look with wonder at what He places in our hands from His mighty hand? Are we delighted in the gift simply because it comes directly from our Good Father?
Doesn’t a gift mean more when it comes from someone we know intimately rather than from someone we barely know? The history of the relationship builds anticipation. The value is not in the object itself but in the Giver. The thoughtfulness of the gift causes us to hold it tightly — to treasure it.
As Abba’s dearly loved children, we have the privilege not only of holding tightly to the treasure, but also of holding tightly to the hand of the Treasure.
As we meditate on our eternal Lord and His ways, there is always more to discover. The Lord then asked me to reverse it: What does our Father feel when He gives us the gift of His love?
1 John 3 tells us that He has lavished His love on us. The Greek word for lavished carries the sense of something incalculable — extravagant, exceeding limits, without restraint. He delights in being extravagant with His love toward us. He delights in making us His children through His love.
It goes on to say that not only does He give us His love without restraint — without limit, beyond measure — but that this very act gives us the privilege of being called His children. We are marked by His love. We are known as His children because of His love. What a Good and Faithful Father we have.
May we be childlike in how we receive His love and in how we receive whatever He delights in giving from His loving hand. May we hold tightly to Abba’s hand as we walk with Him. May we feel deeply loved and cherished by the truth that we are called and known as His children.
DAY 1
Spend some time meditating on 1 John 3:1 and James 1:17
CONFESS
Abba, You are a Good Father to me. You are always Good. You are the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
THANKSGIVING
Abba, thank You for the gift of Your love and that I am called Your child because of Your great love for me. Thank You for being a Good Father to me. Thank You for making me Your child.

SEE SCHEDULE AND DEVOTIONAL BELOW
A huge THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who joined in the 21 days of fasting and prayer last month! Your attendance and participation was a blessing and greatly appreciated. Praise God for His faithfulness! If you have any testimonies from the fasting, we'd love to hear and celebrate with you.
Extra thanks to our Prayer Leaders for leading and attending extra meetings during this time. Thank you to all who wrote devotionals—God truly used them to stir and challenge us. Thank you to JEL for hosting at the Jesus Center!
A very special thank you to Maria for hosting Pamela, Terri, Rosalinda, and me during the 555 Prayer Intensive Live. Some saints prayed for five hours for the first time ever, and there was such a sweet prophetic anointing flowing during our time together.
We are praying that even more saints will experience this at the next Prayer Intensive on May 29. What an amazing confirmation that our sacrifices are pleasing to our most wonderful God.
This year at PITS, we are focusing on HEALING, starting with our HEARTS. Jesus wants to mend our fractured souls and heal any brokenness so we can love Him and one another more fully.
February is a month when many focus on romantic love, so as part of our healing journey, we are gleaning from the book The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. A quiz will be on the website on Feb 14 so we can discover (or share) our top 2 ways of experiencing love. As we receive His perfect love, we become more open to giving and receiving love.
Let's make this month one of deeper intimacy with the Father and sweeter relationships in our PITS Prayer Room!
PITS 4 HUSBANDS IS BACK – Mondays at 6:00 PM (Ladies only)
PITS for 2026 Elections – 15 min daily, Mon–Fri at 4:30 AM
Let's stand in the gap for righteousness, godly leaders, and God's will in our nation.
PITS is starting a benevolent fund… More info coming soon.
Jesus is near to the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds!
Let Jesus wrap you in His arms this month.
Blessings and much love,

Brokenness has a role in life.
It’s through brokenness of spirit that we come, or I should say, should come to realize that it comes many a times because of our sins and through our own sins.
Brokenness has an impact and a role that can achieve true repentance, therefore do not ignore it, do not minimize it, but rather present it to God. Remember, that Jesus body was broken for the forgiveness of sins. Then add to the bread of heaven, the sacrifice for sins, the blood of Jesus - your priestly garment - the blood which has achieved the payment for sins.
Bring your brokenness, your sadness to the feet of the one who can take it away and set you free.
Remember that you have been set apart, holy to God, marked by His Spirit - no matter the troubles that may surround you - that is your anointing oil. Then bring it all to the holy place in brokenness of spirit that leaves nothing behind.
Approach the altar of incense, with prayers and songs of adoration filled with your tears of helplessness - fill the place with that sweet smell, the smell of sacrifice, for remember that when Jesus was hanging in the cross, his prayers filled with his anguish of spirit, soul and body were raised to God in obedience as he himself was raised up- and having done all that enter into the holy of holies, into the very presence of ABBA Father the author of redemption, the author of forgiveness, whose love surpasses all brokenness and brings with it fullness of grace and life.”
Beloved of The Most High God.....
Thank you for joining PITS during this time of seeking the Lord with fasting and prayer.
The "Daniel Fast" involves eating mostly fruit, vegetables, seeds, grains and drinking water.
Basically no meats or sweets!
In addition to the wonderful spiritual benefits, fasting can have a positive impact on your health.
While fasting try to incorporate some light exercise and plan to get extra sleep.
When eating, prepare simple, wholesome, healthy meals.
Try to avoid (or reduce), soda, coffee, sugar, processed foods and social media or TV.
During the fast, do your best to slow down and connect with God, especially at times when you would have been shopping, preparing meals, eating or otherwise distracted.
Read the Bible, pray and
PLEASE stay hydrated!
Consider keeping a journal to capture what is happening at key moments of this journey.
As you faithfully pursue Him, may God bless, strengthen, heal and anoint you as you fast.
We are praying for you,
Zipporah and The PITS Crew!

ABUNDANT GROWTH GOD'S WAY
PART 2
PRAYER TIMES:
5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 56:7, John 15:5, Acts 1: 14 and Acts 2: 2, 42, 47
DEVOTIONAL:
A TEN-day prayer meeting, with 120 of the most renowned believers waiting on God, birthed the New Testament Church. This is God’s blue print for ministry. Tongues of fire and spoken tongues marked the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The crowd mocked, till Peter preached! His LONG message brought conviction, repentance and baptism. As a results of Peter’s spirit empowered message, 3,000 souls began to follow Christ. Going forward GOD (not Peter) added to their number day by day! This is the only model that guarantees enduring numerical growth. Pray that PITS would commit to this Spirit-led path and not try to bear fruit alone. Without Him we can do NOTHING! John 15:4-5
God wants healing in every area to be emphasized and realized in PITS for 2026. God desires a safe, nurturing environment where His rescued sheep can heal, mature, and bear fruit. The Lost, (and the found), need a place to receive, milk then meat, water and wine and honey from The rock. Spiritually and emotional growth and healing is much easier in a company of prayerful, word filled, emotionally healthy, authentic and loving believers. Pray that PITS would be one of many such communities, where all can find acceptance, encouragement, hope and fellowship. Our prayer for PITS is that both Sheep and Shepherd would find the support needed for us all to REST, HEAL and GROW., anointed and equipped to GO make disciples of ALL nations. Walking in holiness and humility so that all growth, fruit, and impact bring glory to God alone.
Prayer focus
Pray for unity in prayer in PITS, so the Holy Spirit can move unhindered.
Pray that our prayer room would be a warm, friendly, welcoming place where God can joyfully send both sheep and shepherds to encounter His presence.
Pray that The PITS Prayer room remains a sanctuary for healing, restoration, and spiritual and emotional maturing.
Pray that all numerical growth and spiritual and / or emotional maturity would be occurring by God's power not our striving.
Five Minutes of Silence and beyond:
How can we cultivate more united / "one accord" prayer in PITS?
What might it look like practically for our prayer room or your church to become a "safe environment" where rescued sheep can heal and grow?
What are some characteristics in PITS that foster a safe space?
Who is God calling you to welcome or nurture right now?

Designed for Holiness
By Emily
DEVOTIONAL:
Years ago, I attended a prayer conference at the Ocean Grove Great Auditorium in New Jersey. There were huge digital signs attached to the wall on either side of the stage, one that said, “Holiness to the Lord” and one that said “So be ye holy.” Session after session, my eyes kept returning to the signs. On the last night, I walked out to my car, harassed by condemning thoughts, “I’m not like these holy, fiery intercessors. They sound like Simeon and Anna in the temple praying for Messiah’s arrival.” Then I was stopped by a loud cricket starting to chirp in the grass beside me. A thought popped into my mind: “This cricket is obeying its design. It’s not trying to be a moth or an ant or a rock. It’s functioning the way the Creator made it.”
What’s the first word that comes to your mind when you hear the words “holy" or “holiness?” Religious? Unattainable? Overwhelming? The Bible is full of instructions on how to live holy lives, set apart as His children. He designed us to be holy. But how do we not get lost in the enemy’s quagmire of accusation and hopelessness?
Let’s see what the Holy One has to say.
Prayer focus 1: Personal Holiness
Ask Jesus to speak to you about His design for your life.
Ask Him to show you an area where He’s made you to be set apart; either that you didn’t realize or where He wants to call you higher.
Prayer focus 2: Communal Holiness
Ask Jesus to give you a fresh revelation of what it looks like in PITS to be part of the temple of God.
How can we focus our gaze more clearly on Him and say yes to His design for PITS?
Five Minutes of Silence:
Take one minute to express gratitude to God for His Holiness.
Then quiet your heart and listen for His response.

ABUNDANT GROWTH GOD'S WAY
PART 1
PRAYER TIMES:
5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
SCRIPTURE: Zechariah 4:6, Romans 8:26–27, 1 Corinthians 3:6–7 and Ephesians 1:17-18
DEVOTIONAL
Human effort alone cannot grow a ministry. (Psalm 127:1) Fun events with festive food and famous speakers can only go so far—they may even draw a crowd. But unless our lives and ministries are permeated by the presence of the Holy Spirit, we will lack the main ingredient needed for lasting transformation. Growth cannot be rushed. True growth happens when we rely on the Holy Spirit, follow His blueprint, and surrender to His strategies and schedule. 1 Corinthians 1:27
God is ready to help us grow—both spiritually and numerically—but we can be hindered by our vocabulary and our limited knowledge of His will. By Praying In The Spirit, we can move past both of these obstacles. During this fast, we made room for Him to reveal Himself and share with us His vision for 2026. In addition, His anointing empowers our prayers (James 5:16), and both saints and sinners are drawn to true manifestations of God’s presence. They are intrigued by miracle-working, answered prayers. May all our answered prayer bring glory to God alone.
PRAYER FOCUS:
Pray for patience to cultivate and abide in His presence.
Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our lives, ministries and in PITS.
Pray for power to pray boldly and effectively according to God's will.
Pray for more answered prayer that bring glory to the Father.
Five minutes of silence and beyond:
In what areas of your life are you relying more on human effort?
Do you agree that it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing? John 6:63
What prevents you from fully trusting God?
How can you shift toward greater dependence on God?

ABUNDANT JOY IN HARD TIMES
By HEDDA
PRAYER TIMES:
5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
SCRIPTURE READING NKJV
Nehemiah 8 :10 “…Do not sorrow, for the JOY OF THE Lord is your strength”.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 “For God gives wisdom and knowledge and JOY to a man who is good in His sight”.
DEVOTIONAL
Life isn’t always easy and things don’t always go our way. James 1:2, tells us to “count it all JOY”. The days in which we live are evil. Jesus warned us about the last days, that men would be corrupt and lovers of themselves. Dishonesty would become a way of life. Truth is now fluent, “my truth” or “your truth”, not His truth. Selfishness abounds; anything goes. Men and woman doing whatever they want, as long as it makes them feel good. But, Galatians 5:22 tells us the “fruit of the spirit is JOY.”
Righteousness is under attack. Crazy ideas are everywhere in the guise of “inclusiveness”. Jesus and the Word are vilified daily and so sin is no longer sin. It's very easy to become unsettled, and despairing in such circumstances, even depressed and feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Romans 14:17 reminds us that “the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit”. JOY for us is not dependent on us, because the Joy of the Lord is what carries us through the hard times. His JOY in us, His gift of JOY, not our kind of joy that is dependent on circumstances. So, rejoice and “count it all JOY”.
PRAYER FOCUS
Ask God to help you take your eyes off the circumstances and look to Him and His Word.
Ask God to let the fruit of JOY abound in your life.
In all the needs that we pray for, remember John 16:33 where Jesus said “I have overcome the world”. Thank Him for the victory.
FIVE MINUTES OF SILENCE & BEYOND!
What can I do to bring JOY to my life?
What can I do to bring joy to my family, my neighbors, my friends, my work colleagues and the PITS family?

(and the weekend)

Hunger and Thirst For God
PART 2
PRAYER TIMES:
5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 55:2, Psalm 36:8, Psalm 107:9 and John 6:35
DEVOTIONAL: When hungry it is easy to make poor choices and consume the wrong things. Often hunger is not the issue, but being unwilling or unable to wait or discern what is truly needed, we rush to food, media or other comforts. Unfortunately, these poor, temporary substitutes can lead to unhealthy and continual cravings.
If we ask, God is willing to help us discern our deeper often hidden longings. He will show us what we are really craving and how to meet those needs. God wants to help us reset our taste buds and empower us to push through the spiritual withdrawal symptoms.
While fasting from our normal quota of food, media, or sugar, and as we allow His word to be our food, and our tears from fervent praying to be our drink, (Psalm 42:3) we will experience a spiritual cleansing.
God will purify our taste buds, recalibrate our palates and make us connoisseurs of the good things of Holy Spirit and The Word.
Since He alone can truly satisfy why do we settle for anything less? Come taste and see that the Lord IS good! (Psalm 34:8) We are blessed when we trust Him!
PRAYER FOCUS 1: Emotional Hunger
Ask God for deliverance from cravings, unhealthy reactions or any chains of addiction.
Ask God to help us not go for the quick fixes that haven't worked.
Ask Jesus to help us not seek comfort in anything else but Him.
Pray the lost, especially prodigals, recognize their unquenchable desires can only be filled by God .
PRAYER FOCUS 2: Spiritual Satisfaction
Pray God would help us to tolerate the pain of withdrawal.
Pray our PITS community would not choose momentary pleasures.
Pray for new hunger for Him; the one who truly satisfies.
Ask God to help us to prepare an atmosphere in PITS where his presence can fill us.
Pray for PITS to seek Him together and so grow in grace and healing.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
What are you doing that masks your real emotional needs?
What substitutes are you using to satisfy your deep longings?
Are you willing to let go of unfulfilling pursuits?
Are you willing to quiet your heart and discern what you really need?
Are you willing to come to Jesus before attempting to temporarily satisfy or self-medicate?
Do you truly believe that God can satisfy your soul more deeply than anything else?
If not, what doubts or fears are holding you back?

VISION THROUGH JESUS' EYES
By ALAINI
PRAYER TIMES:
5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:7, Isaiah 55:8-9, John 9:39 and Ephesians 1:18 (TPT)
DEVOTIONAL: Jesus we long for your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done. We thank You Jesus that Your ways are not our ways. May we see our world as You see it Jesus. We desire breakthroughs and miracles in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Jesus may our will be softened to receive your world view and fill us with Your compassion so we continue to respond with Your heart.
Prayer Focus 1: New Vision, New Lenses: Pray our hearts will be softened to receive Jesus’ Kingdom lens. Ask Jesus to remove the scales over our eyes that separate us from Him, and each other. Pray our eyes be vessels for Jesus’ Kingdom. Jesus thank You for doing a new thing.
Focus 2: Eyes Wide Open in Our Community: Ask Jesus to reveal all scales on the eyes of PITS Leaders and Participants. Pray hearts will be softened to align with Jesus'’ Kingdom vision in PITS. Ask Jesus to reveal to us what He sees in PITS and our community. Pray that Christians everywhere would desire to see as Jesus sees.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
How do you see yourself?
How does Jesus see you?
Can you identify scales inhibiting you from seeing yourself and others the way Jesus sees?
Day 14 January 21

Hunger and Thirst For God
PART 1
PRAYER TIMES: 5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scriptures: Psalm 42:1-3 Psalm 63:1 Psalm 84:1-2 and 1 Peter 2:2
Devotional: Becoming dehydrated can be fatal, as can consuming the wrong liquids or hydrating too fast. A thirsty deer has no access to: soda, coffee, alcohol, sweet tea, lemonade or an energy drink. They just don’t have these options for refreshment. They are limited to finding water suitable for drinking. Sadly, the beverages mentioned actually increase dehydration, so they are not good choices for us humans either. Let us not be tempted by a temporary remedy or a seemingly quick fix. Although we try many things, a thirsty soul can only be quenched by His living water, likewise a hungry heart is filled by feasting on The Word, fellowship with Christ and doing the will of The Father. (John 4:34)
Prayer Focus 1: Are you thirsty?
Ask for clarity regarding our true spiritual condition.
Ask God to help us not go for the quick fix or false comforts.
Pray that each of us would thirst for God and righteousness alone.
PRAYER FOCUS 2: Be filled!
Pray The body of Christ would drink from the river of life and have an unquenchable thirst for more of Jesus.
Pray that The PITS Prayer Room would be filled with His life giving presence.
Pray that the thirsty who come to PITS would be refreshed at the table of the Lord.
Five minutes of silence and beyond:
What pain or longing, deep in your heart, does God want to address?
What false comforts are you using?
Are you willing to let go and let Holy Spirit minister to you?
Day 13 January 20

Heal! The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand!
By ALAINI
Prayer times: 5 AM, 12PM and 6 PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 10:7-8, Mark 1:15 and John 14:12
DEVOTIONAL: Jesus thank You that the Kingdom of Heaven is now but not yet. It is God's desires that we walk in Heaven here on earth. Jesus, by your stripes we are HEALED, we desire to fellowship with You and be participants in “greater works” just as You said we would. May our will be aligned with Yours Jesus, that we may be carriers of Your Kingdom and miracles and healings will be an everyday occurrence in our lives. Jesus help us to we walk in the abundance of freedom that You bought for us.
Prayer Focus 1: Everyday Healings: Pray and seek Jesus, ask that our hearts be open and hungry to do these signs: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons.
Pray the Kingdom of Heaven would be manifested in our life.
Pray for boldness to align your will with His so His Kingdom can come now.
Prayer Focus 2: A Community that Heals: Ask Jesus to stir the hearts of PITS Leaders and Participants to be a community that walks out signs just as Jesus did. Pray the hearts of those around us would be open to receive such signs. Pray for healing ministry to be sought out in our community. Pray we would all walk in the abundance of freedom that Jesus bought for us. Pray healing ministry will be sought out and received in your local church, leaders, ministries, and our country. Pray all would desire breakthrough with Jesus.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
How can I partner with Jesus in healing prayer ministry?
What areas of my heart are in need of healing?
Am I actively seeking prayer for healing, inner healing or deliverance?
Day 12 January 19

Gods Vision For Unity and Love
Prayer times: 5AM, 12PM and 6PM
Soaking: 6AM and 7PM
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 9: 6-7, John 13:34-35,
John 17:20 – 24 and 1 John 4:7 -12,
DEVOTIONAL:
Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. From the very beginning, His kingdom has been marked by righteousness, justice, and peace (Isaiah 9:6–7). He not only lived as the perfect example of peace, but He was also the first to pray that we would all be one. The Apostle Paul and others echoed this vision of unity for the New Testament church!
Every true act of peace—whether reconciliation, forgiveness, or bridge-building—flows from biblical principles and can only be accomplished by God's grace, not our own strength.
In John 17, Jesus shared His vision for all believers by praying passionately for love and unity. Jesus, the original and only true Man of Peace, used His influence perfectly. Today, even the most notable peacemakers can have skeletons in their closets. (Psalm 118: 8-9) Jesus loved, forgave, healed, served, and then gave His sinless life for us—demonstrating that He is the only one worthy of our devotion.
“Love your neighbor as yourself” was replaced by the new commandment to love one another as God and Christ have loved us.
Let us align our hearts with Jesus' High Priestly Prayer in John 17. As we pursue peace, love, and unity in the PITS Prayer Room, our local churches, and beyond, the world will see God's love through us.
Prayer Focus 1: Vision For The Body
Pray for the power to be true peacemakers—speaking truth in love, forgiving quickly, and pursuing unity in our families, churches, and communities.
Pray specifically that pastors and ministry leaders would have a vision for unity and the humility to lead by example in forgiveness and reconciliation.
Pray for unity among all disciples of Jesus, across denominations, cultures, and generations.
Focus 2: Vision For PITS
Pray that all in PITS would willingly surrender to the Holy Spirit and align our hearts with God’s vision for unity.
Pray that Jesus' vision for the Church as “one body” would change the way we in PITS treat other believers.
Ask Jesus to remove any hostility, prejudice, offense, or misunderstanding among us.
Pray that our unity in PITS would be a testimony of God’s love and truth.
During the FIVE Minutes of Silence and beyond!
How have you experienced Jesus as the Prince of Peace?
How does Jesus' vision for the Church as “one body” change the way you treat other believers?
Who is God calling you to love, forgive, or come alongside so there can be more unity?
